Rocky

Just a few pictures of Rocky, he loves having his picture taken. I will post some pictures of Bruiser as soon as I get him groomed. He looks super shaggy from swimming.

Our trip to the Mytery Castle

Sarah ran across the Mystery Castle while doing a bit of research on places to visit when she came out here. I have to be honest, I did not want to go here. I heard that the Mystery Castle was made out of trash and I couldn't understand why Sarah would want to take a tour. I figured I would only be losing $5.00 if I hated the place. After we met our tour guide and went in the first room I apologized to Sarah for being so close minded. I actually really enjoyed the tour.

This is what you see as you walk up.

This is the view of downtown Phoenix

This is what the inside of a cactus looks like

Inside the house there is a room that they call the Chapel. Years ago people would get married in this room and the brides would leave a shoe. The story is that if they left a shoe behind then their husband would stay faithful. As you can see, some brides left two shoes : )

This is the what you see before you enter the chapel.

This is the kitchen they use to this day

Sarah is ordering her drink from the wishing well. Hopefully the dumb waiter will get her order right this time.

The third story

Here is a quote from the spare bedroom

This was actually a very interesting place to visit and it was a learning experience. I don't want to give anything away but if you have and hour to spare and $5.00 I suggest you go and take a look.

Girls trip to Sedona

A few months ago I had two friends come out to visit me from California and I was so excited because I hadn't seen them since December. Sarah and I had been trying to plan where we could go for weeks and we finally figured out that the Saturday they were here that we would go to Sedona. I had been there once when I was about 9 and remembered how beautiful it was so I thought my friends would like it. The drive was nice but it seemed like it took forever. Once we got there it took us a while to find a parking spot but we ended up getting one in the front row (yes, the little things in life make me happy).
Our first stop was a bite to eat.

Here is the view from our table.
and the other side.
Our next stop was the Sedona Trolly. We took two different tours and they were actually pretty inteteresting. Did I mention that it was very windy. It was funny because Nicole and I couldn't figure out why there were blankets on our seats... and then the trolly started moving and we soon realized why they were there.

It was a nice day away with a few good friends. None of us wanted to leave but we were tuckered out. We went back to my house and painted our nails, watched Juno, and played smarty pants on the Wii. All in all it was a very good day.

Our pool is finally done

Our pool is finally done and I couldn't be happier. This has been a long process with many angry phone calls and emails to our salesmen, his boss, and his boss' boss. I would still never recommend the company we used but they did do a beautiful job. The funny thing is that I never wanted a pool, Kevin wanted a pool and now I don't know how we lived here without one. This is the first pool either of us have had to take care of, so it is a learning experience... but a fun learning experience. I am so excited to start having BBQ's and pool parties. I will have to post some pictures of the waterfall a little later.

The first one

Hi all! I thought a blog would be a great way to keep in touch with friends and family. Especially because we are unable to see them as much as we would like to. We moved to Arizona almost a year ago ( wow how time flies ) and although we try to go back to California as often as possible, it's tough to see everyone we care about when we are there. Hopefully we can start to share our life a little.
