T to the X

On Monday I leave for a leadership conference for work. I was one of five selected out of my department. I am still not sure if I deserve it but I am very excited. I do work hard and bust my ass at work, but in no way shape or form am I a top performer. The leadership conference is in Dallas, Texas this year and I am excited to go. It will be something new and will post pictures as soon as I can.
For the time being, I am working on washing my clothes and packing little by little.

Hey maybe I will meet Paul Wall? I do want a grill!

Arizona Por Vida : )

Kevin and I were at breakfast on Saturday and he brought up the Power Ball...
Here is our convo:
Kevin: What would you do if we won the power ball?
Tiff: I don't know how much is it?
Kevin: 200 something MILLION
Tiff: Oh wow!
Kevin: yeah, so remind me to buy a ticket today
Tiff: I would build a huge house... in Scottsdale or that one city I like. I call it desert hills but I don't think that is the real name.
Kevin: Did you just hear what you said?
Tiff: Ummm ... yeah jerk face, I would build a house
Kevin: In Arizona
Tiff: Yup... oh... wait. Omg, I said Arizona.
Kevin: Yeah you did. So no California
Tiff: Nope, I think I like it here.

Can you believe that? Without hesitation, I said Arizona and not California. Some of my friends still don't understand why I like Arizona so much, so I decided to make a random list of things I fancy here.

In no particular order:
The sky:
The sky here is beautiful... nothing like California. The sunsets are amazing as well.

Traffic:
Hardly any traffic! I love it. Yeah, once and a while it is stop and go... but not everyday like in SoCal.

My house:
I absolutely adore my house. If we were still in CA we would still be in an apartment. Well. we might have found a crappy overpriced house to live in. Nothing like our house here though.

My pool:
I'm not going to lie, I didn't want the pool at first. I am so glad I let Kevin talk me in to it, because I have no idea what either of us would do without a pool. It is wonderful.

My friends:
I have been fortunate enough to meet some pretty great people here. I also think I have met a few that will be lifelong friends :)

My God Daughter:
If we were still in CA I would have never met my bestie and I would not have my little monkey as my god daughter.
The Phoenix Coyotes:
Who would have thought that Hockey would become one of my favorite sports. Gosh, I love hockey and the Coyotes are my fav team. GO DOAN!!!
Spring Training:
I still get to see my Pads and for cheap! I also love seeing teams I might not regularly see.
My Schooling:
I know for a fact I would not be in college back in CA.
The Weather:
That's right! The weather... I love the hot, the cold, the super duper hot heat.
I do have more things that I like, but thought I would end here.
I never thought I could live anywhere besides California and never understood why people moved to other states. I understand now. I am glad that I was born and raised in Southern California and have been able to go places that people dream of. I am truly grateful for where I have been and where I am now.
